The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it's alarmed in regards to the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The company issue created for intervention experiences a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social read more Assistance providers,” the agency said.
